Does the mere thought of having to undertake 'sales' activity, or even going out networking, leave you cold?

Most of the clients on our networking skills course, push back against 'going networking' because they think it's a pushy or sales-y activity.
Though business development is critical to the survival of all commercial enterprises, 'selling' seems to have a negative connotation in most people's minds and they simply recoil from the thought of it.
But it's OK. That's normal !
The way to overcome this fear is to move from thoughts of 'selling' to 'helping'.
How can your services 'help' your prospect overcome a problem or a current challenge?
When you are clear on this, you will know the right questions to prepare, before you go networking, to uncover the pain people experience in their business and to see where your products or your services can 'help' your prospects in their business.
When you’ve found that, it's called 'spotting the opportunity'. That's what we go networking for !
